There were a lot of visitors in town over the weekend. Some were passing through, but some made Lindsborg their destination!

Tasks for Upcoming Events/Moving Ad Hoc Forward:
There was a concern for how we support the Sundstrom and what events are going on at the building. It was said that it would be nice to know what events are going on, so that businesses can know that people may be coming into stores around town.
A response to this was that usually there are members from the CVB/Sundstrom that attend Ad Hoc and talk about events going on, but haven’t because of busy schedules. It was directed that this would be a thought for the CVB to look into on how to promote the events going on. It was also mentioned that the Sundstrom rates have changed and to pass that information along to everyone. The Sundstrom has been busy with events since the change while still looking for a new director.
A question was brought up of if there are any fundraiser groups that are going to wrap presents this year?
It was said that it potentially didn’t go as planned last year, but it is a great idea to look into.
It was brought up that if any businesses need help with social media or anything around that aspect, to contact Bethany College. They can get a student to help you with this through their Pathways initiative. A good person at the college to talk to about this is Chad Moore.
Progressive Churches of Lindsborg is wanting to re-up the “For Our Future” bags. Kristi has roughly 300-400 bags and said if anyone needs any to let her know. The churches intend to come back to the City Council, but Kristi said she would talk to Ad Hoc first. The churches said that they want people to start charging for plastic and paper bags.
Second week into Wednesday’s and the attendees of Ad Hoc said that they like Wednesday’s so far better than Monday’s!
It was said that the remind notifications are good, such as seeing the message about bringing the hat on Tuesday evening.
Ad Hoc members took their “Hats Off” picture after the meeting today. The picture will be used for Small Business Saturday in Lindsborg.
