Starting on November 1st, Ad Hoc meetings will be moving to Wednesdays at 8:00am.
This week, the meeting started off by talking about the Ad Hoc Roundtable website. It was learned who previously had the website and it has now been transferred back into the hands of a current member of Ad Hoc. There will now be someone who takes notes as time allows and it will get posted to the website for News and Notes. There was also a spreadsheet for Ad Hoc that lists projects and events that are happening and are coming up. There was also a list of passwords given to Diane for everything in case someone may need something in a possible change of hands.
Next that was discussed was page eight of the strategic packet. It has questions that relate to the importance of Ad Hoc. It was said that each member should pick a question and go forward with them instead of just discussing the questions like usual.
They then moved on to talk about meeting times. There was discussion about if or when there could be a change to the meetings. It was decided by the group to change the meeting time to Wednesday at 8:00am starting November 1st. This will go on until the new year and then there will be a reevaluation to see how this is going.
Then the question was brought up of how do we tell everyone?
Many people said that the remind app could be used, but not everyone is on there. It was stated that we should try to get everyone on there and this could be done by making several people admin on the remind app so that they can go ask and add people to the group.
It was asked if people could split up to ask businesses if they would like to be on the remind app. A few members that were present volunteered to be part of helping with this. It was also suggested that there is a book of information kept on Robin’s desk in case there is someone not present to lead the meeting.
It was then brought up that if there was a purpose to the meeting, there would be more attendance. The idea of “what is the next thing we are chasing” was said as an idea to describe what we could be focusing more on. This “next thing we are chasing” could be posted as reminder in the remind app to let people know what they may be missing at upcoming meetings.
The next and last topic that was brought up was the remind app and its features. There was discussion of making everyone in the group an “admin” to be able to have the ability to add people. Then, those people could add more people and send messages about what they would possibly like to discuss in upcoming meetings. There is believed to be a word count limit on the messages, but there is not believed to be a limit on how many messages can be sent.
