• Opportunity is emailing you. (Okay, opportunity seldom goes door-to-door any more.) We’re looking to grow coordinating teams for two upcoming Ad Hoc events: Lindsborg Vaffeldagen on Saturday, March 25, and Lindsborg in Bloom on Saturday, April 29. Think about it, pls, and send word if you would jump in to help a bit with one of them.
• The first Lindsborg “Coffee with a Cop” was popular and well received, so McPherson County Sherriffs officers will join with Lindsborg Police and Kansas Highway Patrol officers to serve up coffee and conversation from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Blacksmith Coffee Shop and Roastery in its new location at 122 N. Main St. Curious about agencies’ jobs? Policies? Specific concerns? Come chat.
• What’s new, developing and growing in the next 12 months? A regular Lindsborg event, yet to be named, in which businesses organize to host visual arts and music performances (and other creative endeavors) on second Fridays of each month, with special emphasis on interactive experiences. The first of these events will be Friday, Feb. 10, with participating locations open until 8 p.m. If you’re able to host an artist or musician on Feb. 10 or any coming second Friday, please call Tayla Mace at The White Peacock or Christi Becker or Carole Stuenkel at Chestnut Studios.
